Frank Luntz is one of the most honored and expert communication professionals in America today.

Pioneering the “Instant Response” technique that dives into the intersection of communications and public opinion to deliver precise corporate and campaign data, his focus groups have become so influential in political and private circles that Barack Obama had this to say following the PBS presidential debate:

“When Frank Luntz invites you to his focus group, you talk to his focus group.”

Dr. Luntz’s public opinion work spans the globe and nearly every industry. Working for more than 50 Fortune 500 companies and CEOs, Dr. Luntz advises on issues ranging from energy to education, retail to design.

He has written, supervised, and conducted more than 2,500 surveys, focus groups, and ad tests across 24 countries and six continents. He has served as an election consultant and commentator in Canada, Britain, Israel, Ireland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Australia, Venezuela, and Ukraine.

Most recently, Dr. Luntz has worked for CBS News as a crisis communications expert and political analyst. He has conducted live, televised focus group sessions for all three broadcast networks, two cable news channels, and PBS, as well as for The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, The New Yorker, The Times of London, and U.S. News & World Report.

Since 2007, he has been the “Focus Group Czar” for Fox News, conducting over 100 sessions in more than 20 states, as well as co-hosting several live hour-long prime time specials and dial sessions during every presidential debate.

And in 2001, Dr. Luntz won the coveted Emmy Award for his reoccurring segments on MSNBC/CNBC’s “100 Days, 1000 Voices.”

Dr. Luntz is the author of three New York Times Best Sellers. Words that Work: It’s Not What You Say it’s What People Hear, explores the art and science of language creation. His second book, What Americans Really Want … Really, addresses the private hopes, dreams and fears of the American people. His most recent book, WIN, reached No. 3 on The New York Times Business Best Seller List. He has written about the power of language for The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Financial Times, The Times of London, and The Washington Post.

Dubbed “the Nostradamus of pollsters” by Sir David Frost, named one of the four “Top Research Minds” by Business Week, called the “hottest pollster” by The Boston Globe, and a winner of The Washington Post’s coveted “Crystal Ball” award for being the most accurate pundit, Dr. Luntz has taught courses at Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, and George Washington University.

As the president at Luntz Global, Alyssa Salvo provides comprehensive communication strategies to a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, trade associations, and sports organizations. Specific clients she has advised include the NFL, Fox Sports, Google, the University of Phoenix, Westfield, and countless others.

Alyssa’s guidance ranges from crisis communication to policy advocacy, reputation issues to consumer challenges. In addition to the language-centric work for which LG is traditionally known, she also specializes in programmatic strategies for television networks, where she provides direction on tone, talent, layout, and content for a variety of shows.

Her in-depth understanding of public opinion stems from hundreds of dial sessions she’s conducted both nationally and globally. As part of the research process, she leads diverse teams of colleagues in executing a wide range of client end-products, including media training, presentations, and Luntz Global’s patented Language Dictionaries.

Before working at Luntz Global, she was a project coordinator at Luntz, Maslansky Strategic Research, where she worked for a half-dozen industry-leading companies.

She is a graduate of Princeton University, with a degree in politics. At Princeton, her concentration was on modern American politics, specifically the fundamentals of campaigns and elections.

Ben Clarke

Ben Clarke is a partner with the firm.

Hired out of college as a speechwriter, he has written for presidents, princes, and prime ministers.

In addition to his work as a longtime senior political writer and corporate messaging advisor for Luntz Global, he has held myriad posts in the political world. He was the chief political speechwriter for U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a communications consultant for Rudy Giuliani’s 2008 presidential campaign, political writer and messaging advisor for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s ’08 and ’10 nationwide political outreach campaigns, and speechwriter for RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.

He has worked on countless House, Senate and Gubernatorial campaigns across America. He has also worked on or covered campaigns in Ukraine, Georgia and Greece.

On the corporate side, he has helped craft language for countless Fortune 100 and nationally renowned CEOs – from Pfizer to FedEx; Google to Guggenheim Partners.

A resident of Boston, his religion is the Red Sox.

Matt George, partner and director of media and visual communications within Luntz Global Partners, leads some of the most impactful messaging strategies, creative concepts, and contextual audience segmentation analysis available on the market. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, entertainment producers, tech companies, and trade associations. He’s perhaps best-known for leading HBO’s groundbreaking communications research in addition to work with The College Board, Facebook, AARP, Google, The Fred Rogers Company, Netflix, Papa John’s, and many, many more.

Matt’s research approach is grounded in attention-to-detail and a focus on understanding the context of why consumers behave the way that they do. His ability to create compelling narratives from data analysis and his love of quantitative research has constructed the strong strategic framework upon which many creative campaigns are built.

His passion for the moving image has translated into creative work for corporate and political campaigns that competes – and wins – against the nation’s big advertising firms, at a fraction of the cost.

Matt attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he received dual bachelor’s degrees in film/video studies and political science, and has a Masters of International Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and two children.

Nick Wright

Nick Wright



Nick Wright has been tied up at gunpoint while campaigning to rid Zimbabwe of Robert Mugabe. He has come under direct fire while polling one of Iraq’s first democratic elections. He inhaled tear gas in Islamabad while establishing the Malala Campaign for girls’ education in Pakistan.

During those same years, he also designed and executed some of the most successful branding, reputational, and corporate campaigns in Britain, the U.S., Australia, and all around the world – including one that precluded the removal of a sitting prime minister.

He began his career as a researcher and speechwriter at Westminster. Over the past few years he has polled, fought, and won political, corporate, and charitable campaigns in over 25 countries. He specializes in designing deep – and accurate – campaign-based research, as well as winning communication strategies for leaders in all spheres. An advertisement he helped conceptualise, write, and create won the Reed Awards’ ‘Best International Campaign Ad’ in 2017.

Nick also pioneered Luntz Global’s latest messaging techniques in the U.K. and Australia, and is a certified QPMR, MSc, and Council Member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs in Sydney. His commentary and analysis is featured in The Australian, the BBC, Sydney Morning Herald, Radio Hong Kong, and The Guardian. He also lectures at the University of Sydney, in 2013 delivering a special lecture on Niccolo Machiavelli’s The Prince, exactly 500 years after the work’s first publication.

William (Bill) Duvall

William (Bill) Duvall



William (Bill) Duvall is Luntz Global’s CFO.

He is a financial professional with over 25 years’ experience in public, private and governmental accounting and tax areas. A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in multiple states as well as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Bill has worked with Frank Luntz for over 20 years in various capacities.

He heads up the administrative arm of the organization, including finance and human resources.

Beth Youra directs the qualitative, quantitative, and analytical methods that help businesses achieve their goals. Whether working with large data sets or multifaceted business strategies, she excels at distilling complexity down to actionable, practical solutions.

Beth previously worked at Gallup, Verizon, and Startec Global Communications leading consulting, research, analytics, and marketing engagements.

She is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. and received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Kelly Gerson

Kelly Gerson is a vice president with the firm, working with the country’s top companies and organizations in industries spanning from education to entertainment, CPG to travel and tourism, life sciences to finance.

In all of these fields, her focus specializes in bringing a touch of the creative to the corporate, breathing new life to business narratives, executive speeches, product campaigns – any and all external-facing communications.

She is a graduate of Boston College.

Phillip Morris is a vice president at Luntz Global Partners where he advises Fortune 500 companies and organizations across industries to help clients build their brand and shape corporate reputation with language that wins.

An expert in healthcare and energy, he has deep communications experience advising clients on everything from crisis management and investor relations to brand advertising and public relations. He manages all aspects of client engagement, including research, strategy, and message development.

Prior to Luntz Global, Phillip worked as a director at Purple Strategies, where he managed fully-integrated brand and public affairs campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and nonprofits throughout the country. He has experience working with leading brands like Citi, BP, Intuit, and MillerCoors across a variety of industries, including energy, financial services, technology, education, healthcare, and consumer packaged goods.

Phillip has also worked on political campaigns for presidential, Senate, and gubernatorial candidates, including Barack Obama, Jeanne Shaheen, and Chris Christie. He has worked on Capitol Hill in the office of U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen. He has spoken at national conferences, board meetings, and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

He is a graduate of Harvard University with a degree in government, and currently resides in Washington, D.C.

Tom Rodriguez

Tom Rodriguez is a senior project director with Luntz Global.

Utilizing the language proven to persuade, Tom works with industry leaders, thought-movers, and political candidates, campaigns, and committees to drive the conversation and shape opinions. Spanning the industries of transportation, energy, entertainment, sports, and education, Tom is equally equipped and experienced in writing speeches, crafting surveys, and delivering effective communications strategies and tactics.

Tom has worked on and advised numerous local, state, and national campaigns across America providing communications, research, and development expertise. He was a fundraiser for several Republican members of Congress and single issue 501(c)4 groups specializing in major donor and federal PAC outreach. He also served as an advance consultant on Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.

Tom is an elected member of the Kensington Town Council in Montgomery County, Maryland. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and Florida State University.

Liz Brinkerhoff

Liz Brinkerhoff is a communications advisor with Luntz Global.

She previously worked for Senator and Governor Jon Corzine, Senator Evan Bayh and Senator Mark Begich, where she provided subject area expertise on Defense, Veterans, Financial Services, Tax, and Appropriations issues.

Her most recent role was at Catalyst Inc, where she collaborated with Fortune 500 member companies to reach strategic corporate diversity goals and also supported Catalyst in reaching critical government affairs objectives.

Liz resides in the Washington, D.C. area, and is a graduate of Rutgers University.

Ayobami is a communications advisor at Luntz Global.

He researches and refines winning messaging for clients across the spectrum – politics and business, sports and finance, education and transit. With a background in U.S. politics, campaigns, and journalism, he has navigated every channel of today’s media climate and honed invaluable instincts in mass communication.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master of Arts in Political Management from George Washington University.

Tim Gerson is a Communications Advisor with Luntz Global.

Previously, Tim worked at NAXION Research Consulting, where he applied qualitative and quantitative research methods to guide clients through a host of market challenges with clear and confident direction.

Jessica Wittland is our Director of Recruiting and Outreach, working to bring respondents into Luntz Global’s unique focus group community and coordinate the recruitment of panelists for each instant response dial session.

Before joining the Luntz Global team, Jessica spent over five years at Delve Marketing Research, where she managed a facility and clients, helping to recruit various research projects across the country.

Under Jessica’s direction, the Recruiting and Outreach Department oversees hundreds of focus groups each year.

Charles DeGregorio works to bring respondents into Luntz Global’s unique focus group community, coordinating the recruitment of panelists for each instant response dial session.

Before joining the Luntz Global team, Charles was a qualitative researcher and moderator at a boutique market research firm.  He had also refined his logistic expertise at Market Strategies International and Ipsos Understanding Unlimited as senior-level project management.

Charles earned his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sociology from Fontbonne University, and enjoys cooking during his free time.

Matthew Standerfer works at the intersection of message and design as a content editor and media analyst.

He has tailored digital strategies for organizations in news media, education, and retail. A journalist by trade, he previously worked on Capitol Hill as a politics reporter covering border issues, campaign finance, and Arizona’s Congressional races.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Mass Communication degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.

He is based in Washington.

Suzanne Conte

Suzanne Conte manages the audiovisual component of Instant Response dial research at Luntz Global.

From sports to entertainment, business to politics, she oversees the dial-testing of multimedia content at focus groups across the U.S. and abroad. That methodology yields the results we use to determine what messaging works – and what doesn’t – giving our clients a distinct competitive edge. In addition, she creates video and print ads that compete head-to-head against offerings from the nation’s top agencies.

Suzanne joined the firm in 2012 and is based in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the Luntz Global team, she worked as a Video Editor at the Association for Psychological Science, and as the Outreach Assistant on a documentary film promotional campaign at State of the Art, Inc, an Academy Award-winning production company.

She earned a Master of Fine Arts in film and electronic media from American University, and studied filmmaking in Prague. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies, with an emphasis in film theory and a minor in sociology, at Virginia Tech.

Savannah Gross

Savannah joined Luntz Global in 2018 as a Media Communications Advisor.

She specializes in creating visual content. Partnering with the language and communication experts at Luntz Global, she helps find creative solutions to communication challenges.

Savannah also oversees Instant Response dial testing at focus groups spanning a myriad of industries, in the U.S. and abroad.

She attended the University of Michigan and Albert-Lüdwigs University of Freiburg.

Joel Pelovitz provides information collection and reference material composition supporting Luntz Global focus groups around the world.

Joel brings an analytical approach to project support and problem-solving. His experience includes consecutive internships at the National Museum of American History, as well as marketing work for The Literacy Center of the Lehigh Valley in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in history and business from Muhlenberg College.

Joel currently resides in Washington, DC, where he enjoys writing music and exploring local museums.

Michael French is a research associate for Luntz Global Partners.

With a focus on data interpretation, Michael strives to instill ingenuity in the analytical.  He prides himself on delivering clear, relevant results that readers can easily assess and use.  His experience spans multiple congressional and gubernatorial races, as well as concurrent internships on Capitol Hill and at the American Academy of Diplomacy.  Through his work on the front lines, interest in global affairs, and hometown roots in rural America, he has developed keen insight into the communication strategies that resonate with voters and consumers alike.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Michigan and resides in Washington, D.C. He enjoys international travel and closely following election cycles, both in the states and abroad.

Megan Caulfield is a communications associate at Luntz Global Partners.

She bridges the worlds of quantitative research and qualitative analysis – crafting surveys and interpreting data to pinpoint the key language, tactics, and strategies to meet client needs.

Megan has served on the research teams at Wharton’s Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program, with a focus on Asian affairs.  She has also worked for the boutique strategic communications firms Catalyst and Teneo.

Megan graduated from Grinnell College with a double major in political science and Mandarin Chinese, with extensive studies in economics. A seasoned traveler, Megan enjoyed the months she explored and studied in China. On weekends, you can find her discovering Washington, DC through photography.

Yunna Leshchinskiy

Yunna Leshchinskiy is an Executive Assistant at Luntz Global Partners, where she oversees operations for the Washington D.C. office and facilitates a strong office culture.

She supports the Luntz Global partners and senior staff in everything from streamlining business development to managing client engagement. She also serves as the primary contact for members of the media and press. Yunna enjoys finding creative and innovative opportunities for the staff to connect, bond, and of course, not only eat, but eat well.

She’s proudly staffed various executives and has previously worked in the world of chocolate, biscuits, and beer, as well as in food styling.

On weekends, you can find her perusing a new art exhibit, throwing an elaborate dinner party, or tracking down a watering hole. She is in constant pursuit of a NY-style bagel in DC.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with a focus on immigration and gender from Mount Holyoke College.
